TAKING CONTROL IN TIMES OF STRESS no.21

Normality is a thing of the past. What you and I considered was normal, and is now yesterday’s thing. Our routine has gone out the window, we’ve lost the freedom to go to the gym, the freedom to buy any groceries, and TP. And yet today, right this day…we are pretty much bound to our houses.

With all that has happened, it would be super easy for us all to go, well f*ck it….and let what is going on consume us, and essentially our health. But what we must do, is take it upon ourselves to control each situation as best we can. Now that means, finding what works best, with the cards we are dealt with.

There are no more sweaty gym workouts, or epic strength pb’s…but that doesn’t matter. Don’t worry, we can still move, right?. So instead of giving up on working out, think outside the box. Home workouts, runs, swims, whatever is it that you want to do (able to do with laws changing by the day). Hey even join our live stream group classes. The same way you structure and plan your weekly gym workouts, you do the same in this current situation. The goals will be slightly different, but your purpose needs to be the same. The same thing can be said about how you approach your diet.

If you find yourself, moving to a more sedentary lifestyle…and your worried about gaining weight, then cut back on your carbs (ie. oats, pasta, breads, rice, fruits etc). Your goal should ultimately be to consume a wholesome diet, however if you slip up eat too much, snack on too many KitKat, or even miss a day training…don’t stress. Don’t let it get you down. This is a difficult time for a lot of people, and there is no need to be hard on yourself.

Bottom line, you should try to be as consistent as possible. Feel free to reach out to us, hell if you want join online group…we can add you. Let us know, there is no charge, we are in this together.
